AQA Certificates in Science

We offer a suite of AQA Certificates in Science including Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Science (Double Award), which have been submitted to Ofqual for accreditation. They are linear qualifications equivalent to a GCSE full course and can be co-taught with our new GCSE Science specifications.

They offer a different approach to assessment where your students develop skills in scientific enquiry which are then assessed through written examinations.

All specifications cover the full grade range (A* - G) with the Double Award offering foundation and higher tier question papers. They are available for teaching from September 2011.

ELC

The Entry Level Certificate (ELC) in Science is designed for students currently performing below the level required to obtain a GCSE grade G. This provides an alternative for these students.

The ELC in Science can be taught alongside GCSE Science A and Science B.

To find out more and to see how your students can benefit why not attend a free Preparing to Teach meeting? By attending one of these meetings you will have the opportunity to discuss the ELC Science specifications with a member of our subject team.
